Barstow-Daggett airport is located in the Mojave Desert five miles east of Daggett and fourteen miles east of Barstow. The airport was first built in 1933 and has been used for various military operations during the 1940s and 50s. On this flight I took off from French Valley (F70) climbed over the San Bernardino Mountains between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake and then descend down into the Mojave Desert. I enjoyed this flight as the topography drastically changed within a relative short distance.
