El Monte: KEMT

I have only been into this airport one time during my flight training, and it is a difficult airport to spot from the air because of its position relative to housing and other structures. El Monte is Class D which means Air Traffic Control controls the airspace from the surface to 2,500ft and a radius of 5 statute miles. Two-way communication with ATC must be established before entering the airspace.
