Camarillo is a Class D airport located in Ventura County. I have flown into Camarillo on two different occasions and both were during my private pilot training. The first time was a night cross country with my flight instructor, and the other was for my first solo cross country. The FAA considers a flight to be cross country when the straight line distance between two airports is 50nm or greater. In order to be eligible to take the private pilot checkride, you must log at least 5 hours of solo cross country.
