This is the airport where I learned to fly and passed my private pilot check ride in a Cessna 152. Cable airport is the “world’s largest family-owned, public-use airport.” It was first built and opened in 1945 by Maude & Dewey Cable and is presently owned and operated by their children and grandchildren.
