Yucca Valley Airport is surrounded by relatively high terrain to the north, west, and south of the airport creating very turbulent approaches when there are windy conditions. The airport sits at an elevation of 3224ft and has one 4363 x 60 ft runway aligned 06/24. The day I landed here we used runway 6.
