San Bernardino is a controlled airport within Class D airspace. This airport has the longest runway I have every landed at 10001 x 200ft. You could literally takeoff, land, and takeoff again without flying the pattern. With the larger runway and control tower, San Bernardino has become a major U.S. Forest Service fire fighting air base.
