Banning Airport is located in the Banning Pass between the San Jacinto and San Gorgonio Mountains. Both these mountains are tall and steep with the tallest peaks at 10834 ft and 11,503 ft. Therefore, this airport can be windy at times with up and downdrafts on the approach to land.
